Drama Programs for Rural Evangelism
Drama groups are made up of the youth in congregations
in the Northern and Upper Eastern Regions. They perform
plays in the local languages. The plays are based
on Bible stories and are adapted to local situations.
Plays are performed in the dry season in communities
mainly in the evenings. The whole community is present.
After the play, people are invited to join the church.
The respondents form the nucleus of a new preaching
station. Drama groups and evangelism teams have helped
to plant many new bible study groups and preaching
stations in the Northern Regions.
