About Us
Lutheran Media Ministry Uganda was established in late 1996 by the Lutheran Church Mission in Uganda under the guidance of Evangelistic Missionary John S. Donkoh and the International Lutheran Laymen's Leagues' (Int'l LLL) Area Representative for Africa and Middle East, Dr. Menkir Esayas.
The International Lutheran Laymen's League (Int'l LLL), with its Lutheran Hour Ministries brings the Gospel of Jesus Christ to millions in North America and worldwide through its 48 International offices. Over 50 Million people listen to Lutheran Hour Ministries' Broadcasts in more than 40 languages. Lutheran Media Ministry Uganda is one of the International Branch Offices.
Lutheran Media Ministry Uganda is governed independent of the Lutheran Church Mission in Uganda though it serves as its Media Mission arm. It has its own Board of Governors and administration. However the Ministry programmes do reflect the mission concerns and confessional beliefs held by the Lutheran Church Mission in Uganda (LCMU) and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS).
